Jambu - Improved Web Accessibility for Switch and Alternative Pointer Users

The Jambu vision is to become an Assistive Technology that provides first class computer access for users of Alternative Input. It is designed for users with Mobility impairments who find keyboard and mice difficult or impossible to use. The key aspects are:

* flexible control of programs from alternative input devices allowing for gestures across devices to suit user capabilities;

* simple yet flexible configuration by non-technical users and helpers to meet varied and changing needs;

* unobtrusive operation including in-application selection and attractive visuals;

In the short term Jambu makes the web easier to access for those who interact with computers using switches and head mice or other types of Alternative Input device. This is achieved by acting as mediator between a user's Alternative Input device and the Firefox Web Browser, making browsing and control easier. Firefox provides good accessibility features as well as giving first class web access by conforming to important standards. Although it is initially available for Linux, a Windows version of Jambu will soon follow.

Jambuinapp - direct access from switch input

With Jambuinapp a user can control Firefox with switch input (or keys) by directly operating the User Interface (without an overlay or OSK). It also supports accessible GNOME applications.
