Qwriting
-OATS Forge
Based on Ken Perlin's Quikwriting, this is a novel on-screen keyboard that works on mouse gestures. Moving your mouse in gestures across the Qwriting window turns the gestures into letters. This can be a very efficient way of typing for people who can only use a mouse and don't want to move the mouse much...

How does it work?
Easiest thing is to have a go, try the demo here: http://mrl.nyu.edu/projects/quikwriting/ . Basically - you use gestures to type. The gesture is determined by where the letters are on the 'petals'... To type a letter move the mouse from the central area to the petal with the letter in, then move the mouse to the petal the letter position points at.... e.g- e: Centre- Left Hand Petal - Centre
- h: Centre - Left Hand Petal - Top Left Petal - Centre
- c: Centre - Left Hand Petal - Bottom Left Petal - Centre
It will take 5 minutes of playing with it to work it out, then using it will seem easy and natural.
How to install it?
You could have a go with the online demo here first: http://mrl.nyu.edu/projects/quikwriting/Either:
- Download the 'Installer file', Run it and follow the instructions.
- Download the zip file, Unzip it somewhere (could be a memory stick), run 'Quikwriting.exe'
