Installation Overview.

MultiWeb actually consists of two programs: the MultiWeb User Options program used to customise MultiWeb to suit your needs and the MultiWeb Browser.

To use MultiWeb you will need to:

  1. Install the MultiWeb software.
    • After downloading MultiWeb run the MWSETUP program from Disk 1 and follow the instructions.
    • MultiWeb can be installed for single users or multiple users (where more than one person will be using MultiWeb on the same computer). The installation program will ask you if you want to install for single or multiple users.
  2. Run the MultiWeb User Options program from the MultiWeb program group in Windows and:
    • Select the program interface you wish to use. Refer to MultiWeb Interfaces for an explanation of the various interfaces available.
    • Select the options you need. Jump to the section MultiWeb Options for an explanation of the options available.
    • Complete your Internet options in the MultiWeb User Options program. You will need to enter your HTTP Proxy Server, FTP Password, download directory and choose whether or not to display inline images.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to project restraints the MultiWeb User Options program is not disability friendly. However, once configured it is not necessary to use the MultiWeb User Options program again unless you wish to change the settings.
  3. Run the MultiWeb browser. The selections you chose in the User Options program will be reflected in the MultiWeb browser.
  4. Read the help file. The MultiWeb program contains help files which can be viewed in the MultiWeb Browser after it has been installed. If you wish you can download the full User Manual from this site.
