Installation Overview.

MultiMail actually consists of two programs: the MultiMail User Options program used to customise MultiMail to suit your needs and the MultiMail email program.

To use MultiMail you will need to:

  1. Install the MultiMail software.
  • After downloading MultiMail run the MultiMail5.EXE program and follow the instructions.
  • MultiMail can be installed for single users or multiple users (where more than one person will be using MultiMail on the same computer). The installation program will ask you if you want to install for single or multiple users.
  1. Run the MultiMail User Options program from the MultiMail Program Group in Windows and:
  • Select the program interface you wish to use. See MultiMail Interfaces for information about various interfaces available.
  • Select the options you need. Jump to the section MultiMail Options for information of the options available.
  • Complete your email options in the MultiMail User Options program. You will need to enter your SMTP and POP3 server names as well your password and email address (these are supplied by your Internet Service Provider).
  • PLEASE NOTE: Due to project restraints the MultiMail User Options program is not disability friendly. However, once set up it is not necessary to use the MultiMail User Options program again unless you wish to change the settings.
  1. Run MultiMail. The selections you chose in the User Options program will be reflected in the MultiMail email program. If you are connected to the Internet you will be able to send mail immediately. If you are not connected to the Internet your messages can be saved for sending later.
  2. Read the help file. The MultiMail program contains help files which can be viewed in the MultiMail Browser after it has been installed. If you wish you can download the full User Manual from this site.
