Firstly, hello.  I have just joined your website through TechDis. I have recently started working as the Assistive Technology Officer at Salford City College as i am interested in assistive technology and learning platforms. I come from a teaching rather than an ICT background so i might be needing a bit of help!

At the moment i am looking to develop a suite of assistive technology based on the TechDis model of assistive technologies. So i am sure that i will find this website Invaluable.

At present AT software has been installed on the college network but it isnt working very well, i think that i have isolated the problem to the access right on the college network. The problem is with Readable and Dolphin Tutor.

With Dolphin Tutor the voice file Daniel Softspeak doesnt work when a user logs onto the computer it has been installed on through the college network. The program works fine on the computer under administrator mode so i guess it has something to do with some kind of access problem?

Also, Readable doesnt save the profiles that students and teachers create, but again, under administrator these changes are saved for the next time that a user logs on. I have tried to contact the suppliers but havent had much success.

Any help would be greatfully recieved.
