Commenting and Contributing made easier

As part of a plan to make the OATS site as open as possible the site has been opened up for submissions.

The OATS site welcomes contributions from anyone with anything to say about Open Source Assistive Technology Software.  As part of a plan to encourage this the following changes have been made to the site:

  • Comments enabled almost everywhere on the site... You'll see the 'Add Comment' button at the bottom of a page.  When you make a comment the author gets an email and so can easily respond/alter the page accordingly.
  • Contributions enabled almost everywhere - once logged on you will see an 'Add to Folder' button - this means you can contribute a bit of content to the site (e.g. a page, a relevant link etc).  Don't forget to submit what you write.
  • All content made publicly viewable - once you submit some content it will be immediately viewable by the public.  It will then also be reviewed by the OATS team.
  • Collaboration made easier - a 'Friend' role has been added to allow you to share content creation with a colleague.

If you think the site could be any more open or have any other comments, contact us or post to the mailing list.
