Collaborating on a page

If you would like to write a page with someone else:

To allow someone else to edit a page:

Plone makes it easy to collobrate with someone on a bit of content. 

  • Go to your page/content
  • Click on the 'Sharing' tabsharing search
  • Type the name of the person you want to collaborate with into the search box and hit search.
  • Once the search results come back, click on the person's user name, and choose 'Friend'
  • Click the 'Assign Local Roles to Selected User' buttonsharing roles
  • Done!

To change the ownership of a page:

You might want to do this if you want to hand over a bit of content to someone else to take on:

  • Go to your page/content
  • Click on Sharing
  • Go to the bottom of the page and click on the Change Ownership link  change ownership
  • Find the username of the person you want to transfer ownership to   change ownership form
  • Click Save
  • Done!

Comments:

Don't forget that pages are also open to comments by default.  If you want to explicity turn comments on/off for a page, just click 'Edit' and then choose the appropriate option under 'Allow Discussion on this item'.
