The OATS Forge
This section of the OATS site is devoted to the development of Assistive Technology software.
Assistive Technology Software is software designed to consider the needs of people with disabilities - it encompasses accessibility, usability, universal design. The OATS site is a hub for people interested in Assistive Technology Software - a place to talk to like minded people, a place to host your projects and a place to get in touch with users.
- Developers: Here you can find a project to
contribute towards - all projects on this site evolve from defined needs of
users with disabilities. Start by looking at the information on the Forge, then you can find projects here. There is also a summary of standards, projects and other activities. If you decided to host your project on OATS (it's free!) then we can help you out with some goodies.
- Professionals: This is your opportunity to influence the direction of AT software development: look at the projects under development, feedback to authors and sugest new projects or highlight needs.
- Students: Need an interesting project? Use this site as inspiration - look through the projects being developed on this site and/or contact us.
- Users: You are welcome to browse this area of the site and contribute wherever you like - however an easier way of feeding into projects is through the Project Pages.
Please note - this section is still being developed and rapidly evolving. The best thing to do is sign up to the mailing list and contact us.
