How do I use my Forge pages?

Up to table of contents

If you have opted to use the OATS Forge to host your project, how do I make use of all the avaliable tools?

switch to developer viewThere are two sides to each project page - a 'user view' and a 'developer view' - if you want to use the Forge resources, you will do better to switch to the 'developer view'.  Do this by clicking the link in the portlet on the right hand side of the page.

developer contentsYou'll notice that the colour of the site changes - you are now in the Forge!  You can see the resources that already exist in the contents portlet (by default at least a poll (vote) is created).

Adding Tools

A useful portlet is provided to help you add tools to your project, however you can also add tools using the standard 'add' drop down list.

Developer ResourcesJust click the 'Add Documentation', or 'Add  a BugTracker' links in the portlet... otherwise, just click the little drop down arrow next to 'add' and choose what you want to add.

The list of tools avaliable is bound to grow, so things in the list may change in the list.

developer switch viewYou might also want to switch back to the user view to see how the site looks to people looking for software.
